Headlight/Start Switch Saver for the 1974 through 1978 Honda motorcycles CB750K4/5/6/7/8, F2/3, and smaller Fours. For CB750F0/1 see the other listing..
This RELAY KIT reduces the high current in the START button that normally runs the headlight in the CB750K4-8, CB750F2-3, CB550 (all), CB400F/350F, and various other Honda models. If a halogen headlight is installed on these bikes, the current draw through the START button in its unpressed state can exceed the switch capacity, slowly causing damage to the switch itself. These switches are expensive and hard to find: this Kit will greatly extend the life of the switch.
This Relay Kit uses a small automotive relay that fits easily inside the headlight bucket, out of sight, on the Honda Fours. Installation is partly plug-in, and partly clip-in. Typically, needle-nosed pliers are enough tooling to install this kit.
You must supply the model of the bike that you intend to modify so the proper wiring instructions may be supplied with this Kit.
